Trees like birch and fir exchange carbon back and forth across the seasons, giving when the other is in need, proving that survival depends not on hoarding but on sharing. This is the oldest law of life—older than empires, older than money, older than the lie of separation—and it stands as a living rebuke to the competitive greed that now poisons our world. The mycelium does not see individuals; it sees a single, breathing organism. And it knows that the health of the whole depends on the care given to every root.
